In Africa, where there is a lot of stigma on childlessness and other prevailing issues that affect women; some of which are medical – too many women have sought solutions in many ways that have posed great dangers to not only themselves but their families and community.
The fibroid is an age-long medical issue that a lot of black women battle with daily and as the world pines for gender equality; we must begin to look to the health of women as a matter of urgency.
Breaking cultural beliefs, demystifying these medical issues and providing opportunities for women to resolve these issues must become matters of urgency.
At #BOF, we believe in the health and wellness of #Women. We hold firmly to the #UN #SDGoal3 that speaks to the health and wellness of the people. These and many more we have done as an organization in the last 4 years.
